File Delivery

The final production phase where edited visual assets are formatted, packaged, and delivered to meet specific e-commerce and print requirements.

File delivery (or asset dispatch) is the final, mission-critical phase of the production lifecycle where high-end visual content is exported, organized, and transferred to the client. At JU Productions, this process ensures that the creative vision captured during a Catalog or Scheduled Lookbook® shoot is translated into technical specifications optimized for global retail platforms.

The delivery process involves converting master files into specific dimensions, color profiles, and file types (such as WebP, JPEG, or TIFF) required for e-commerce marketplaces and print media. Leveraging our global intake model, brands shipping products to our hubs in Singapore, the United States, and China benefit from a standardized delivery workflow that ensures consistency across international digital storefronts. This stage is not merely a transfer of data but a strategic handoff of high-performance assets designed for immediate commercial deployment.

Why It Matters

Strategic file delivery directly impacts a brand's 'Time-to-Site.' In the competitive retail landscape, the ability to quickly and accurately deploy high-quality imagery across global platforms—from Shopify to Amazon—ensures that marketing spend translates into revenue without technical delays or formatting errors.

Examples

1. Delivery of web-optimized, 72dpi RGB JPEGs for a Shopify storefront. 2. High-resolution, CMYK TIFF files for a seasonal print catalog. 3. Transcoded MP4 files in 9:16 aspect ratio for social media 'Mini-campaign' ads.

How to Apply

Before production begins, provide your agency with a detailed technical specification sheet including required pixel dimensions, padding/margin requirements, file size limits, and naming structures. Review these again during the final retouching phase to ensure the export settings align with your CMS or DAM requirements.

Common Mistakes

Providing incorrect color profiles (e.g., sending CMYK for web use, causing color shifts); inconsistent file naming that breaks automated web uploads; and failing to request specific aspect ratios for mobile-first shopping experiences.

Pro Tip

Implement a standardized File Naming Convention (FNC) based on your SKU or UPC early in the pre-production phase. This allows for automated ingestion into your DAM or e-commerce backend immediately upon delivery, significantly reducing time-to-market.
